Whilst we were in LA at dance excellence we were invited with two other directors from other Countries, to teach out in the Philippines, which was a great honor. It was to be the first International dance workshop and festival in the Philippines with connectivity through dance run by the NCCA, national commission for the culture and the arts.

We are off to LA

The home of Fiona Richardson Big dance Company is all quiet for this next few weeks as 90 of us have flown out to perform in Los Angeles at Dance Excellence, Disneyland and the Terrace theatre Long beach California. While we are there we are going to be taking part in the most amazing festival and learning lots of amazing new things, including audition tech, performance skills and new styles of dance LA style, we will also have our senior dancers auditioning for production companies and the Young American touring company where last year 6 of our students were chosen.

You did it Girls!!!

Wow! When our girls Ella Gilling and Hannah Everitt travelled over 300 miles to audition for top theatre school Italia Conti in London they only dreamed of being one of the few dancers selected to train to hit the big time with the famous theatre school.

I had no doubt in my mind that these incredible dancers who are two of many of my incredibly talented hardworking students, that they would wow the principals and that they would go all the way, and sure enough they did!!!
