Becci Gowers

Hi I’m Becci and I teach hip hop and street dance at the Big Dance Company. I have always had a huge passion for dance and I love music and how it makes you feel. I started training when I was about 22 years old and have never looked back.

I worked alongside Fiona and trained with her to eventually take my teachers exam in 2006. Dance is my life. I love the feeling it gives me and really enjoy teaching and training others so they too can have the same experience. I feel it is important to stretch yourself in anything you do and I train in all different styles and disciplines in order to improve myself. I have danced at various events and competitions over the years and have gained many experiences along the way.

I used to perform in night clubs and weekend events with a girl dance troupe called the Dolls, which was founded by Fiona. I am also part of Flava which has had the most amazing year. We got through to the semi-finals in Britains Got Talent and then went on to have various gigs all over the country. We also work with young people nationwide and inspire them to express themselves in positive ways. We were awarded an honorary Philip Lawrence award this year for our contribution to society which was a huge honour and one which I will never forget.

In the future I am going to continue to constantly push myself and strive to be the best I can be and I hope I will pass this onto to others through teaching. I look forward to meeting you all in the future, Cheers.
