Dance excellence 2009
Wow wow wow!! we had the most incredible time in Los Angeles. We were invited to represent England at this years dance excellence and we took 84 excited dancers and Parents out to experience the time of their lives!!

We spent the week learning from some of the best choreographers and master teachers in the business, learning life skills, audition techniques and meeting lots of amazing new friends from across the globe. Lots of fun was had around the pool in the few minutes that they had off and parents enjoyed days out shopping while we were learning.
We performed at Disneyland California which went really well and on our last day we performed at The terrace theatre in Long beach and we were awarded 4 Excellence awards and 2 superior for our dance pieces.
We had such an exciting week and the event yet again sent us home inspired, positive and bursting to dance. Our student Luke Coppinger auditioned to train with the young american touring company and got through and plans to move out to Los angeles this September, along with our other Students Lucy Cracknell and Charlotte Sturges who got through last year.
Whilst i was there 3 dance directors were selected to work out in the Philippines on a cultural dance exchange and i was selected, so we are flying out this Friday to work with students from Countries such as Japan, India, Spain, Hong Kong and Japan. I am taking 4 students with me and we are frantically trying to raise some money to get them out there as all expenses are covered once we arrive in the Phillipines so if you know of any businesses that may be able to help we would greatly appreciate an email.
We have been invited to return to Los Angeles next year already, which is fantastic and i will very soon be auditioning for my 2010 England dance team. Notice will be submitted this week. Only dancers that are registered solely with my school may apply.
Thanks to Tswei Hunter Walsh, Ganges Restaurant, Mounts bay School, Zero Lounge, American Airlines for sponsoring our tracksuits and to Debbie Jan and Nikki for organising our travel and money exchange we are eternally grateful. We are now looking forward to our return in 2010!!!
