SUNDAY 1ST MARCH

SAVE THE DATE ! Sunday March 1st    OUR 2nd ECM event.

Do you feel like you would like to get more involved in making a difference in this world? Leaving your mark ? Giving back to a world that we get so much to be grateful for ?

Here is an opportunity for you and your dancers to make a difference while having fun and working together with other dance schools in your area. Maybe this will be your second time joining and we are so grateful as the money we raised last year really helped in two rescue centres.

Last April my husband Ben Richardson and myself Fiona Richardson along with world famous choreographer Lukas McFarlane a handful of amazing BDC students Millie Mead, Eleanor Fearn, George Brock, Luca Rainbow, Jess Davy, Lennox Pearce, Theo Dowker and Megan Barkham flew out to South Africa to provide outreach and love to villages delivering a dance experience including dance classes and shows to many children who may have never experienced this kind of activity. We also helped out in orphanages where needed and raising money to help build a well in a village that has no running water. We offered our services for 10 days and funding our own flights and accommodation but we are now fundraising to assist with finishing of the well that we started last year and hopefully some money to help towards the babies pre-school that is just an empty concrete room (literally) . Laura Wilson Danceaid is doing an incredible job out there and we feel we want to offer a hand of support them ❤️

Why South Africa you ask ?

Previously Big Dance Company have worked on many charity projects in the UK from domestic violence, knife crime, young carers events, anti bullying campaigns, mental health in young people. We feel it’s important for our young people to be part of the movement that strives to see the change in the world for the better. We believe that every child matters in the UK and abroad, regular visits to the Philippines’ dump sites across the other side of the world gives hope to those families and young people that the rest of the world do care.

HOW DO WE GET ON BOARD?

So if you want to get on board and help, all you need to do is come along and support our dance event and have some fun!
